Add Headers and Footers to Slides

Maybe you want the same text appearing on every slide, like a copyright notice or a disclaimer. Slides Headers and Footers can be a great way to accomplish this.

All you have to do is select one of your slides, and then choose the Insert tab of the ribbon. From the Text grouping, click Header and Footer.

From here, you'll choose to add things like a timestamp, slide numbers, and footer text.

Note that the Preview area (shown here on the Mac version) indicates where footer text will appear. However, any of the header and footer elements can be re-positioned as needed.

From the Notes and Handouts tab, separate headers and footers can be added to handouts and/or Notes.
