There are a couple of ways to quickly draw straight lines across a page in Word using the keyboard.
- Use a dash "-" three times. Hit Enter. AutoCorrect will replace three dashes with a line across the page.
- Use an underscore "_" three times. Hit Enter. Again, AutoCorrect will replace three underscores with a line, but it will be thicker than the 'three dashes' line.
- Use a hashtag "#" three times. Hit Enter. AutoCorrect will replace three hashtags with a fancier version of a line across the page.
You can even try this with other characters, like:
- tilde
- equals
- asterisk
